AintThatDandi

‘AintThatDandi’ is the brainchild of Melbourne duo Andrew Li and Dale Maccanti.

Andrew’s the talented artist behind it all, whilst Dale pretends to have great ideas.
Hopefully you’ll see that through our t-shirt designs…hopefully.
We'll be designing geek culture t-shirts on RedBubble. Pick your colour, pick your size, it's pretty simple.
Our first design off the ranks is Doctor Brickhead. We figure this is what it would look like if Lego licensed Doctor Who.

Comikaze 24

A few days ago, I participated in my first Comikaze 24 event. It's an Australian event where you have to create and complete a comic within 24 hours! You also have to include three selected words somewhere in the comic. This years words were lurk, creation and passive.

I was in a team of five people. Matt Nicholls, Georgia Quinn, Jason Franks and myself wrote a short story each for artist Brendan Halyday. As you can see in the picture to the left, we sort of took over Squishface Studio for awhile (sorry guys). And to clarify what's going on in the photo because it does need clarifying. I'm standing over Georgia with my water bottle ray gun. Brendan needed some photo referencing for his work, nothing suss!

Unfortunately we didn't get the project completed in time but there's always next year. If you want to check out a sneak peek of my story, click here.

Thanks to everyone involved and Squishface Studio for letting us use their space to conquer space aliens.

I couldn't not share this with everyone.

After The Snow

Lately all my spare time has been invested in a new project I'm working on with Trev Wood.

It's a graphic novel titled After The Snow. You'll finally get to see what happens to Snow White after her first adventure with the 7 dwarfs. Believe me, you won't ever look at the Disney version in the same way.

Here's some concept art for our OGN.

PS: You should check out and buy Jen Breach and Trev Wood's Sawbones at the link below:

What's been happening?

It's been a while since I've updated this blog, so here's what's been happening with me.... not a lot.

That's not entirely true. I've been working with some awesome people on future comic projects, that should be published this year but I won't jinx myself just yet. You'll have to wait and see.

Big thanks to everyone that helped out with Hilarity for Charity 2. Next year will be even bigger and better.

Hungry Love is also playing on Dark Carnival tonight at 11:30pm on Foxtel's Aurora, Channel 183.

And finally I'll leave you with a very thought provoking image I found on the net.

Enjoy.

B.A.D

What's B.A.D you ask? All I'll say at this point in time is that it's printed on the cute little robot to the left.

I might also say that it's a character from a children's comic I wrote for Clubhouse Comics Issue 2 which will be published by Monster Comics and Brendan Halyday.

But most importantly it's drawn by the spectacular Chris McQuinlan. He's open for commissions at the moment and has some very cool t-shirts on sale at RedBubble.

It's definitely worth your time clicking on the links below. Would I lie to you?
